The Burlington – Rock Island Railroad Museum is located in the 1906 Depot Building. A group of dedicated volunteers work to maintain and create the exhibits that display both the history of the train station as well as the history of Teague, formerly known as Brewer Prairie in the 1870s. This building and exhibits will be included on the Tour of Homes, Saturday December 14th, 2024, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. The B-RI RR Museum will also be offering tour rides on their 1928 Firetruck!

The Historic Teague Hotel was built in 1907 when the railroad was beginning to create the town of Teague, TX. The Teague Hotel became a respite for railroad travelers and employees. Restored and maintained by the Teague Historical Preservation Society, the Teague Hotel is currently available to both visitors of Teague and as an event center. This beautiful building will be included in the Tour of Homes, Saturday December 14, 2024, from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Tickets for the Tour of Homes are available to purchase at The Honeysuckle, Yoakum Mercantile, Prosperity Bank main lobby, Brookshire Brothers in Teague, and the B-RI RR museum! Tickets are $10 each. All proceeds will benefit the B-RI RR museum and the Historic Teague Hotel.
