The Texas Girls Coaches Association named it all-state team on last week. The association selects 40 girls throughout the state and Teague’s Ashley and KaDaja Nickleberry were among the girls chosen.
“This is a huge honor to be recognized at this level,” says Coach Chris Nickleberry.
“They’ve put the work and time in, and its starting to pay off.”
“I’m proud as a coach and dad,” says Coach Nickleberry.
Ashley finished the year averaging 12.1 points, 6 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 7 steals per game.
KaDaja finished the year averaging 17.3 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 6 steals per game.
KaDaja also was selected as an alternate in the TGCA All-Star game, which will played in July. She will get to play if a player declines to play.
District 18 two other All-State selections Jordan Jenkins (Buffalo) and Jalie Dawson (Malakoff).
