Tau Chapter sisters adventured out to Homestead Heritage in the Waco area on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

Vicki McDougal shared an inspiring inspiration and members had to guess the author. It was very appropriate for today and was from the inaugural address of President Lyndon Johnson concerning our duty as Americans to preserve our country founded by our Founding Fathers.

After lunch in the new restaurant, the members toured several shops and visited with the artisans. The field trip satisfied the purpose of uniting women educators in genuine spiritual fellowship. The members attending were Margaret Day, Martha Kirgan, Patty Manley, Vickie McDougal, Virginia Riddle, Lisa Rogers, Alicia Smith, and special guest Kylee Rogers.

The next meeting of Tau Chapter will be Monday, December 2, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. at Gibbs Memorial Library in Mexia. Members are asked to bring a favorite snack to share, sweet or savory and to wear their favorite Christmas color.

If you are a teacher in any field, Tau Chapter invites you to visit us and meet our members. We are looking for key women educators to join Delta Kappa Gamma, Tau Chapter, supporting international, state, and local projects and goals.
