First United Methodist Church of Fairfield invites the community to celebrate its blessings: Evening Prayer in the manner of the TAIZÉ Community on Sunday, November 11th from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m.
A Taizé worship service includes candlelight, soft lighting, silent prayer, scripture and repetitive songs and prayers.
The service’s setting is relaxed and there is no sermon or offertory. Participants say the silence and repetitive singing are a time to sit quietly in the presence of our Lord.
