On June 2nd, deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 80 near FM 833.
Upon contact with the occupants of the vehicle, passenger James ‘Eric’ Minze (50 yr), attempted to swallow methamphetamines and to eat a glass pipe containing methamphetamine.
A struggle ensued at this time, but deputies were able to recover 1.3 grams of methamphetamine from his mouth.
Minze was also in possession of six hydrocodone tablets and drug paraphernalia.
He was booked into the Freestone County Jail with the following charges:
(1) Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, more than 1 gram but less than 4 grams – $10,000
(2) Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence – $10,000
(3) Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transportation – $3,000
(4) Possession of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3 less than 28 grams – $3,000
Minze has made bail.
