Streetman man, Steven S. Wheeler, 62, was killed in a one vehicle rollover wreck on Tuesday, August 15, 2017.
Wheeler was traveling east on FM 27 in a 2003 Ford F-150 about 4 miles east of Wortham when the vehicle ran off the roadway and rolled over.
It’s reported that he was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene. Alcohol may have been a contributing factor of the wreck.
Wheeler was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace, Pct. 4 Shirley Mays. He was taken to Bowers Funeral Home.
DPS is still investigating the crash; and encourages all drivers to wear seatbelts and to not drink and drive.
