The Wortham Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the Seventeenth Annual Wortham Blues Festival, honoring “Blind” Lemon Jefferson, coming to downtown Wortham, Texas on Saturday, September 8, 2018.

Line-up for this year’s event will be One Less Monkey, Classie Bailou, and Bobby Mercy Oliver and the Jam City Review.

This celebration has become one of Central Texas’ most anticipated events, with people coming in from all parts of Texas (and even from around the country) to enjoy some of the best blues you can find anywhere.

From the beginning, their goal has been to promote the musical legacy of Wortham blues legend, “Blind” Lemon Jefferson, by providing a day of live, open-air music at a family-friendly price.

At the Seventeenth Annual Blue Festival, event-goers can again expect a lot of bang for their buck – the admission fee is only $10 for adults, $5 for kids, and FREE for kids five and under.

Sponsors are currently being sought for the event.  For details, contact Lori Jones at 254-765-3500 or at mailto:klsjjones@sbcglobal.net

You can mail your sponsorship to Wortham Area Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 185, Wortham, Texas 76693.
