On Tuesday, May 2, at 6pm, Wortham High School will hold a Pinning Ceremony for the graduates of the EMT Academy.
Students have completed courses in Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, Disaster Response and Emergency Medical Services.
Clinical internships were done with Fairfield EMS, Mexia Fire Department, Corsicana EMS, Limestone EMS, and Parkview ER.
Students have tested and earned certification through NREMT (National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians) and Texas Department of State Health Services.
These students will graduate High School with the training and certification enabling them to begin employment and exciting careers.
