Disc Golf is not only the newest, and most exciting, addition to Fairfield, Texas, but it also a healthy and safe way to get exercise while being socially distant.

After two years preparation for the course, Pastor Andrew Weitner and Casey Wright along with other members of the Fairfield Disc Golf Association have worked tirelessly to have the course playable ahead of schedule, with more improvements to come.

“The unique nature of disc golf allows for safe, outdoor accessible alternative to exercising,” Andrew explains.

The park itself is beautiful, and the addition of Disc Golf adds fun to the enjoyment of being outdoors.

Due to the push to open early because of COVID-19, the course is playable but not the finished product.

–Stand behind the player who is throwing until the throw is complete

–Remove disc from pin after finishing the hole

–Allow faster groups to play through when possible

–Play is from sunup to sundown
