Silent Auction on Thursday & Saturday for Student Art Pieces
Got a sneak peek at the student art that will be exhibited this week at the Trinity Star Art Gallery in Fairfield this week.
There are portraits of superheroes and familiar Christmas villains, reindeer, raccoons, and snowmen.
The gorgeous contrast of a hot chocolate still life caught my attention at first glance.
Next, the dark blues nights against several snow covered landscapes — each hue capturing a spot on my favorites list.
Then, the brush strokes of a simple green Christmas tree.
But, perhaps the most intriguing of all would be the ‘Wizard Who Ruined Christmas’.
Who will save the day?
Will it be the valiant reindeer, the delicate ballerina, or the trusty angel?
Look closely, and you will see the observer in a corner keeping it all in focus through their telescope. We can only guess that this may be the artist, inserting themselves into the bigger picture.
Trinity Star Arts Council invites the community to their ‘Christmas Express’ exhibition held this Thursday evening, December 4th and Saturday afternoon, December 6th at the TSAC gallery at 115 S. Mount Street in downtown Fairfield, Texas.
View miniature trains, listen to bluegrass music, and put your bid on Christmas artwork created by students at the Pleasant Hills Children’s Home (all proceeds will go back to the Children’s Home).
Thursday’s exhibition from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. will coincide with the annual ‘Sip, Snack & Shop’ event hosted by Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
Saturday’s event from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. will be held in conjunction with the City of Fairfield’s ‘Christmas on the Square.’
