The 100th Annual Freestone County Fair & Rodeo is less than four weeks away, and everyone is invited to join the kick-off parade on Monday evening, June 13th.

Come out and help celebrate this year’s theme: “100 Years of Tradition and Heritage.”

Always an entertaining highlight of Fair Week, the parade includes floats, bicycles, motorcycles, horses, marching bands, fire trucks and more!

With well over 100 entries expected, many old pros and a large group of newcomers, it’s sure to be a blast!

Held in historic downtown Fairfield, Texas, the parade winds around the County Courthouse square beginning at 7:00 p.m. sharp and ends at the fairgrounds where the rest of the Fair activities will take place.

Sign up for an entry with your group, organization or club for the chance to win some prize money. Entries are due by Friday, June 10th.

Awards will be given for Most Creative, Most Entertaining, and Most Beautiful parade entry.

Also up for grabs is the “Spirit of Freestone” award and trophy, presented to the entry that best represents this year’s theme.

You could earn bragging rights for the rest of the year!

Special prizes will also be awarded to the Best Dressed Cowgirl and Cowboy. All participants must turn in a parade entry form.

Ages for Best Dressed Cowboy and Cowgirl is 8 years and under. They must reside in Freestone County, Texas.

Children must be able to sit their horse themselves. They can be led by another rider (no walkers).

All horse entries must have a current Coggins.

Parade entry forms are available in Fairfield at KNES Texas 99.1 radio station and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce; and in Teague at The Yoakum Mercantile.

Lineup for judging at 6:00 p.m. Parade starts promptly at 7:00 p.m.

All entries will be announced by radio celebrity Buzz Russell during the parade.
