In less than a week, Fairfield’s annual Christmas on the Square will be underway.

Everyone is cordially invited to participate in this year’s Hometown Christmas Parade, to be held Saturday, December 2, 2023.

Applications are available at the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center at 900 West Commerce Street.

Completed applications are due by Friday, December 1st at 12:00 noon.

Among those participating can be Youth Organizations, Non-Profits, Businesses, Marching Bands, Automobiles and more.

Cash prizes will be awarded for First, Second & Third Place.

Remember: The Chamber of Commerce will host Santa Claus for the parade, so please do not have any additional live Santa’s on your float.

Line up will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the Elementary School. Parade will start promptly at 4:00 p.m.

A licensed driver must operate autos and large vehicles. Small vehicles (mini-bikes, small tractors, etc.) must be operated by a person 12 years or older.

All bands and marching units shall be appropriately dressed and accompanied by an adult leader.

An adult responsible for following all parade rules shall accompany youth organizations or groups.

Nor horses will be allowed for 2023 (due to safety reasons).

NO sirens or horns will be allowed to sound due to animals in the parade.

Christmas on the Square in Fairfield includes the parade, Christmas story, petting zoo, Nativity performance, arts & crafts, visits with Santa, and tree lighting ceremony.
