Celebrating Christmas with Fairfield’s nursing home residents is First United Methodist Church member Lisa Underhill.
Ms. Underhill, with the help of area small businesses and her home church, was able to purchase enough gifts for every resident in each of the two local nursing homes, Fairview Healthcare and Fairfield Nursing & Rehab.
She took the time to wrap all 154 gifts; and was even able to have Fairfield Intermediate School Third Graders make personalized Christmas cards to hand out with the gifts.
Ms. Underhill, Selah Mason, and other members of the FUMC family visited the nursing homes on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 20-21, 2016 to sing Christmas carols, served refreshments, and handed out the gifts.
Residents of both facilities were very thankful and enjoyed the small gathering celebrating the holiday.
