Lemonade Day is just around the corner, slated for Saturday, May 4, 2024, in Fairfield. “We have 25 signed up this year,” said an excited Brenda Pate, Executive Director for Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
A couple weeks ago, the Chamber collected 9 entries for the Lemonade Taste Test contest. Winners for this special competition will be announced at 10:00 a.m. on Lemonade Day.
Additional awards will be judged that day for the categories listed below and announced at 2:00 p.m. at the Courthouse.
Contests include Best Dressed Lemmy, Best Customer Service, Best Stand, Money Donated to a Cause, Best Marketing, Lil’ Lemmy Award, Going the Extra Mile Lemmy, Lemmy Award, and Heart of Lemmy Award.
Fan Favorite Award will be judged by customers. Be sure to send your customers to the Chamber’s table at the Courthouse to vote for their favorite between 10:00 a.m. and Noon.
Also, don’t forget to send the Chamber photos of the entire Lemonade Day prepping process, including building of the stand, grocery shopping, preparing for the BIG day!
Also, this week’s edition of The ‘Times’ will include young entrepreneurs’ ads promoting their lemonade stands. Be sure to pick up a copy of the newspaper this week!
