The weekly Lake Fairfield Tuesday Night Bass Tournament was held on October 2nd with five fish being brought to the scales by the seven anglers participating. The total pot was $105.

Don Renfro of Madisonville carried home the first place prize of $63 for his 5.62 pound bass. Billy Patterson of Fairfield, and Bubba Karr of Madisonville, each weighed in a 4.74 pound bass to split the second place prize of $42. Others weighing fish were Fairfield’s Greg Birdsall (3.75 pounds) and Gail Cates of Mexia (3.53 pounds).

The weekly tournaments will continue each Tuesday night throughout the month of October. The final contest will be October 30th.

The three-hour tournament is conducted out of the front boat ramp at Lake Fairfield. Tournament hours are from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm with registration taken from 5:00 pm-5:25 pm. Entry fee for the event is $15 per person with 100% of the entry fees being paid back to the winning fishermen.
