The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 1191 held its monthly lunch meeting on Tuesday, 11 Oct 2022, at the Asian King Buffet in Waxahachie.
The guest speaker was Spencer Thompson, Security Specialist, of Waxahachie, TX. The presentation addressd several aspects of personal, electronic, telephone, and property security. Advise was provided on securing doors, dead bolts, sliding doors, and use of surveillance cameras for the home. Dealing with telephone and email solicitations, political calls and surveys from unknown sources was also discussed.
Additionally, the safe and proper use of firearms was covered. The very interesting program concluded with a question-and-answer session.
NARFE Chap. 1191 covers Ellis, Navarro and adjacent parts of the surrounding counties. Membership in NARFE is open to all active and retired federal employees and their spouses, former federal employees, and former spouses who are entitled to a federal survivor annuity.
