Wortham and Teague ISDs have cancelled their elections due to only incumbents filing for re-election with no opposition.
–Wortham ISD: 3 Trustee positions: Place 5 (Michael Dunn), Place 6 (Brett Duke), and Place 7 (Jeff Jones).
All incumbents have filed for candidacy.
–Teague ISD: 2 Trustee positions: Place 1 (Lovie Whyte) and Place 3 (Debra Lawrence)
Both incumbents have filed for candidacy.
–Dew ISD: School Board elections held in November.
On the Ballot this year
Fairfield ISD and the cities of Fairfield, Teague, Wortham, and Streetman will hold elections.
–Fairfield ISD: 2 At-Large Trustee positions (Kevin Benedict and John Fryer)
Both incumbents and Keith Whitaker have filed for candidacy.
–City of Fairfield: 3 Positions: Mayor (Interim – Bobby Nichols), Place 1 (Previously James Tyus, currently vacant), and Place 2 (Arland Thill).
Running for Mayor are Bobby Nichols and Michael Daniels, Sr.; Place 1 candidates are Roger Keeton and Bill Freeman; and Place 2 candidates are Kenny Hughes and Toni Abram.
–City of Teague: 3 Positions: Mayor (James Monk), Place 1 (Ron Rasbeary) and Place 3 (Rhonda Jones).
Running for Mayor are Lois Ann Mims, Jack Hansel, and Timothy Campbell; and for Place 1 will be incumbent Ron Rasbeary & for Place 3 will be incumbent Rhonda Jones and Justin Wayne Johnson.
–City of Wortham: 3 Positions at Large (Michael Busby, Cliff NeSmith and Jeff Carr).
Candidates include Michael Busby, Leonard Smith, Kelly Calame, and Rosie Keathley.
–City of Streetman: 3 Positions: Mayor (Interim – Adam Minze) and both Commissioners (Barbara Polk & Subrenna Turner).
Running for Mayor is Barbara Polk. Candidates for Commissioner are Krysta Buss, Belinda Owen, and Subrenna Turner.
