The Schleuning/Pegis Duo is coming to Freestone County!
Comprised of two virtuoso members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, violinist Maria Schleuning and cellist Jolyon Pegis, the Duo has been specializing in both contemporary and classical double concerti since 2003. Their repertoire also includes commissioned works by American composer David Amram and New Zealand composer Grant Cooper.
Performances have taken place in venues throughout the United States, with orchestras in Michigan, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Montana and Texas. Described as a “dream team,” Schleuning and Pegis are dedicated educators whose engagements often include masterclasses and lecture/demonstrations.
Trinity Star Arts Council is proud to present the Duo in concert on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at 2:30 PM at Lakeside United Methodist Church in Streetman, Texas. The public is invited to attend free of charge.
