Santa Claus will be busy in the coming weeks, with visits and photo ops with the children of Freestone County.
Here is a schedule of his appearances, so far:
–Saturday, Dec. 2nd – Courthouse Square in downtown Fairfield, Texas
Santa Claus will serve as Grand Marshall for the annual Christmas parade. Parade will begin at 4:00 p.m., traveling down Main Street from the elementary school, and then circling the square. Santa will visit with the children from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
–Saturday, Dec. 2nd – City Park in Teague, Texas
Lights will turn on for Christmas in the Park beginning at 5:30 p.m. Santa Claus will arrive at 6:30 p.m. and stay for visits with the children until 9:00 p.m. He will be joined by a special guest, The Grinch.
–Thursday, Dec. 7th – Teague Community Center
Santa Claus arrive in Teague by train about 3:30 p.m. He will serve as Grand Marshall for the annual Christmas Parade of Lights, on Main Street in Teague. Parade begins at 6:00 p.m. Santa will visit with the children at the Teague Community Center (before and after the parade), where the First United Methodist Church will host the annual Hamburger Supper fundraiser.
–Saturday, Dec. 9th – Fairfield Lake State Park
Free admission to the park is being offered to those attending the annual Christmas in the Park event. There will be a campfire, cookies, hayride and a tour of lights at various campsites. Santa Claus will visit with children from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
–Saturday, Dec. 16th – Fairfield Market Days at the fairgrounds
Come shop for gifts with the vendors of Market Days on December 15th – 17th. On Saturday, Santa Claus will visit with children from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. inside the Civic Center.
–Saturday, Dec. 16th – Courthouse Square in downtown Fairfield, Texas
Ice Skating will return the downtown Fairfield on December 15th – 17th. Saturday will include Hat Makers, Rides, Face Painting, and Stilt Walkers. Santa Claus will visit with the children from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
–Saturday, Dec. 16th – City Park in Teague, Texas
Come see the lights in Teague at Christmas in the Park beginning at 5:30 p.m. Santa Claus will arrive at 6:30 p.m. and stay for visits with the children until 9:00 p.m. He will be joined by The Grinch.
