During one of Santa’s December photo sessions, Rudolph decided he wanted to talk about Christmas.
When Rudolph wants to talk about Christmas, you get out the pen and paper and start writing.
–Rudolph, Why IS your nose so bright?
with a little chuckle Rudolph laughed, the best a reindeer can, and told about how as a young fawn he was curious about the elves workshop. After his parents agreed, Rudolph got to visit the elves workshop, but he was so excited that he accidently dipped his nose in Santa’s Super Special Red Dye, which is the perfect Santa red and stays forever, and now he is has a bright red nose.
–Tell me about the famed Christmas Eve when Santa asked you to guide his sleigh.
It was the most amazing, proudest moment of my life. To have Santa himself, just walk up and ask to guide his sleigh, amazing.
–Now you are the most famous Reindeer of all, How does that feel?
Fame is all about how you let it affect you. I learned that being famous is fun, but most importantly it allows me to do good for others, which is what Christmas is really all about.
–What is your favorite holiday snack?
Reindeer Chow, without a doubt. I get so happy when children leave us Reindeer Chow. It is nice to know they appreciate the hard work we put in to make their Christmas magical.
–Do Reindeers get presents?
Santa always makes sure we are taken care of all year long. After Christmas though, Santa makes sure we get our hot cocoa and plenty of carrots.
The joy of knowing we did a good thing taking presents to children is the best present of all.
–What do Reindeers do when Christmas is over?
Rest mostly, We fly so fast to make it everywhere that by the time Christmas is over and we return home, Reindeers want nothing more than a hot cocoa, good movies, and super comfy place to lay down.
–What about the rest of the year Rudolph, what else is happening at the North Pole?
Year round Reindeer, elves too, are getting ready for Christmas. We work out, and do practice flights. We help Santa with the Naughty/Nice list by flying around and checking out things.
Another very important thing Reindeer do, is keep up with where each child is located. Sometimes children do not have time to let Santa know that they are in a new location, but we fix that.
Well Rudolph, thank you for letting us see into the world of a Reindeer at Christmastime.
Merry Christmas!
