Roy Casey Jr., born August 30, 1934, passed away January 29, 2026.
He was Daddy to Kathy and Roy III (Little Roy) and Grandpa to Casey, Brittany, Megan, and Amy.
He is preceded in death by his wife and son.
Roy Jr. was a rancher his whole life. He worked cattle and land with his daddy and later with his son and son-in-law.
His first loves were his cows and his land and most days you could find him somewhere with a beat-up hat, dirty boots, and his pickup truck.
If he wasn’t checking cows, he was at home watching westerns and getting Doris’s floors dirty.
If Roy Jr. was fussing at you, it was a term of endearment. That was how he showed love.
He worked for Norgas before starting his own business, Casey Propane, in 1984.
He served as a deacon for over 60 years and taught Sunday school at Round Prairie Baptist Church for 70 years. His faith and service to his church were important.
He is survived by his daughter Kathy and husband Richard; his grandchildren Casey and wife Lindsay and children Liv and Brooks; Brittany and son Braden, Megan and husband James and children Kennedy, Owen, and Masey; and Amy and husband Brian and son Caleb.
Visitation with the family was held on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home from 2:00pm to 3:00pm with services following immediately after at 3:00pm with Pastor Ed Ridge officiating. Burial followed at Lake Chapel Cemetery.
