SENIOR DIRECTOR OF CURRENT AFFAIRS for Luminant, Brad Watson, gives a presentation on the current status of Vistra Energy during the Fairfield Rotary Club meeting held Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Vistra Energy is the parent company over Luminant and TXU. During his presentation, Mr. Watson stated that they do not anticipate any coal plants being retired in 2017; and that Big Brown was the 2015 Safest Large Mine Company in the United States per the Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA). Our readers might recognize Mr. Watson, as he served 34 years as Senior Reporter at WFAA News 8 in Dallas before trading in those shoes to go to work for Luminant.
