The Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) has begun rehabilitation and widening work on the I-45 frontage roads between the entrance and exit ramps from US 84 to FM 27. This project has nothing to do with the proposed project to improve traffic flow on I-45 frontage roads and ramps that was discussed on February 23, 2017.
TxDOT would like to remind all motorists who travel this area to obey all warning signs, watch for worker and equipment, buckle up, and drive safely.
This $2.5 million rehab and widening I-45 frontage roads is contracted to Big Creek Construction out of Hewitt, Texas. Work began on March 13, 2017 and is anticipated to be complete in the Fall of 2017.
