My Irises are blooming and they are beautiful.  A lovely lacy purple with most stems having between 2 and 4 blooms on them.   The roses are showing their colors and appear very healthy.

The only problem I can find this season are some kind of funny bugs!  They are tiny, tiny, bugs.  Smaller than ants and they are all over everything!  They are on the front porch, back porch, sun porch, and on the sidewalks.

If they get in the house, and they do, they leave red blood spots on the floor when they are stepped on.  They are so tiny it is hard to see them on the floor.  So far, that is as far as they have gone in the house.  It will be all out war if they get on the stove, sink, tables, etc.!

The Hummingbirds are back!  Well, just a few scouts but they provide such a grand scene to watch.  These seem to have been here before as they come to the dining room window and look in while they are hovering in place.  Cardinals are everywhere and we also have Blue Birds.

The Christmas tree in the front yard still has its lights on every night.  I use solar lights which is very helpful.  I told The Colonel I really wanted to leave the lights on the tree year round.  I think he thought it was strange but he told me if I wanted to do that to go ahead and do it!  I need to secure them on the tree because of the wind we have been having.  The nice neat pattern that was started is not very neat anymore!!

Don’t you just love Spring?!!  The Red Oak Ranch folks sure do!
