We have a little tree frog on the outside of the dining room window. He has been there for a week, a very interesting week. He goes from one side of the window to the other. The Hummingbirds are still here and still they are a thrill to watch. It is amazing that they can fly as far as they do to get here and that they can quit fighting long enough to fly South when the weather here turns. Today, I was cleaning out one of their feeders, I had made a new batch of feed for them, sat it on the edge of the sink for whatever reason I don’t know. You guessed it. I knocked the whole thing off the sink to disastrous results. The sugar water went all down the front of me, on the rug in front of the sink, on the cabinet doors, and of course on the floor. I mopped and mopped making sure I got all of it up because I don’t want to get ants in the house. Some days…you know…it doesn’t pay to get up! So, of course, I had to make more because they were totally out of feed. This time I moved it as far away from me as I could get it. Oh, well, another day, another time at the Red Oak Ranch!
