What a wonderful evening we had! The lightning came and thunder along with it only to show us the powerful wind and then RAIN! Yay!
We have some friends down in Liberty, Texas and she was really wanting some rain. Who hasn’t wanted some? We prayed and prayed. Tonight, when all the others didn’t think it would rain…it rained. God moves in mysterious ways. It is still lightning and thundering at the Red Oak but that’s OK. Stoneshire was over here for his nightly dose of Cow Candy. Suddenly it started thundering and the lightning was putting on a great show. He disappeared. I think he went back to another pasture. That is alright, he was probably checking on the cows to make sure they were not terrified!
It has been so hot it was nice to feel the coolness of the wind. We have lost most of our grass, all of our flowers. I have tried to keep water for the squirrels and birds. I doubt they are drinking much of it as it is hot as soon as I pour it in the bowl. We don’t have to use the hot water to take a shower or do the dishes. Not complaining, especially this night as God showed us what He could do for us.
