This afternoon I stepped outside and discovered four white tailed deer standing at the fence. As soon as they saw me, they ran. But the way they ran was a show, almost worthy of Broadway. They turned one after the other (very fast however) and then took off running in a straight line, and then they zigzagged. It was a wonderful show as it appeared they all had practiced this “step”.

They ran across the pasture doing this Broadway show. I love seeing animals running, walking, whatever because it seems to me that the Red Oak has become a “home” to a lot of them and they in turn, give back a show.

The four deer I saw were not small but they weren’t “adults” either. I was certainly entertained! I am hoping they will show up again tomorrow morning as I will be watching.
