The trees at the Red Oak are putting on quite a show. We drove around the Sweet Gum Grove, the Personal Grove, the Barn Grove taking pictures of all the yellow, brown, red colors of leaves we could find. We had Miss Tasha, our Beagle in the truck with us and she was having a great time. She looked out the window and didn’t once lay down in the floor!
We would have gone all the way to the back but were a little concerned we might get stuck, even though most of the land around the house was not mushy. Coming through the Sweet Gum Grove with the windows down smelled so good. It was as if the trees were glad to have company. We came across Stoneshire as he was making the rounds. He always stops whenever he sees the big Black truck, I think he is looking for cubes to be handed out, but we didn’t have any in the truck today.
We appreciate the outdoors so much! This morning, I opened the door to let Miss Tasha out and there was a squirrel sitting on the porch! She took off in a flash but didn’t get the squirrel who was just a little bit faster. That happened to her with a rabbit also. I told her not to worry because after all she is 11 years old and not as fast as she was when she was young. All in all, it was a great day, and we were thankful for the color show that the Red Oak Ranch put on.
