The June Bugs are driving me crazy! There seems to be hundreds of them hitting the windows every night. We’ve had the lights off and still they come. At least, the Beagles don’t eat them like some of the previous Beagles did. I seem to remember that the June Bugs first appeared in June years ago. What happened? Is it the Daylight Savings Time that have them confused? I wonder if one of the Hawks we’ve been seeing would eat them?
The Beagles are sleeping most of the days and wake up for supper. They are eleven years old and that’s bordering on “elderly” for them. It seems impossible they are that old. How time marches on; for all of us.
The little group of calves are still sticking together. They come and go and the only time they are not together is when their Mommas call them. They are really good about answering that call. It has been rather quiet (except for the June Bugs) at the Red Oak Ranch this past week.
