The Colonel and I spent a really nice afternoon yesterday down at the Tree House that we had built many years ago for the grandkids. We talked about all the good times we had with them there and how much fun we all had. We have a brick fire pit for hot dog roasts down there. Nothing tastes as good as hot dogs cooked outside in the woods. We didn’t take anything to eat or drink with us, this was just a checking on it that we do from time to time and another memory lane adventure.

The Dogwood trees were just starting to bloom and that was a beautiful sight. Soon, all those trees will be covered in blooms. We are going back to have breakfast down there in the not too distant future. We are making some plans on how to “upgrade” the Tree House…plans that may or may not be completed. It is such a lovely setting, quiet and serene.

We decided this time we would invite the grandkids’ Mommies and Daddy’s to the Tree House. Most of them have already seen it but the upgrades will surprise them. Most of the grandkids are in college now so it would be a while before they could come…I think all of them take extra classes in the summer so they can graduate sooner. We will be done with anything that we are planning on doing to it. It will be a wonderful place for the “reunion”. The Red Oak Ranch has lots of dreams and some of them even come true.
