“Help us, help you!”
That was the theme of a talk given by Teague Chronicle Publisher Richard Nelson during Business After Hours on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Gilberto’s Restaurant and Cantina in Fairfield, Texas.
Nelson gave tips on submitting press releases, which make it more likely for newspapers to print your content. Here are a few:
–Include the event date in the subject line of your email,
–Fliers are great, but a typed version is better,
–Don’t forget to include contact info, and
–Always include a boilerplate, a one sentence description of what your organization does.
Business After Hours is a monthly networking event, hosted by the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce. It is held on the first Thursday of each month.
Next month’s event will be hosted by Averie Grant at Peridot Salon. She will demonstrate a new line of makeup.
The Chamber assures that there will be an alternate activity for those not wanting a makeover.
