Claycomb Associates, Architects, recently met with teachers from multiple high school departments and district administrators to continue refining the layout of the new Fairfield High School. This stage follows several design sessions focused on creating learning spaces that encourage collaboration and support modern instruction.
The campus layout has gone through multiple revisions to ensure smooth connections between all areas. Each adjustment has been carefully considered to best serve students, staff, and the community. So far, we’ve had about five design meetings, each one bringing us closer to a final plan.
On Tuesday, October 14, Claycomb architect Jeffrey Floyd presented the schematic design of the new high school to the Board of Trustees. This layout reflects feedback from teachers and administrators across all departments. While a few refinements are still expected, this marks an exciting milestone as we move toward detailed design work.
What’s Next?
Site surveyors are finishing their reports, which are essential for the next phase.
Sitework is projected to begin this summer, with construction expected to take about two years.
Our goal remains to open the new high school in August 2028, just in time for a brand-new school year!
Claycomb also met with Fairfield Elementary administration to discuss campus updates and improvements.
Stay tuned — we’ll be sharing schematic drawings soon, and we can’t wait to show you what’s ahead for Fairfield ISD.
