Primary Races Finalized As Candidate Filings Come To A Close

With the filing date closing on Monday, a few candidates have added their name to the ballot, and at least one has reconsidered.

According to Richard O’Dell – Freestone County Democratic Chair, Gerald Manning will not be filing as a candidate for the upcoming Primary Election.

The lone Democrat candidate for 2020 will be O’Dell as County Chair.

Filing as candidates in the Republican Primary include:

–County Commissioner – Pct. 3: Sonoma Adkins
–County Commissioner – Pct. 3: Ronnie French

–Constable – Pct. 1: Buck Bonner

–Constable – Pct. 2: Daniel Ramsey

–Constable – Pct. 3: LJ McAdams
–Constable – Pct. 3: Richard Lee McGowan
–Constable – Pct. 3: Pamela Brackens Barnes (incumbent)

–Constable – Pct. 4: Ken I Sessions
–Constable – Pct. 4: Michael Fred Carter

–County Sheriff: Jeremy Shipley (incumbent)

–County Attorney: Brian Evans (incumbent)

–County Tax Assessor: Daniel M. Ralstin

–Republican County Chair: Doug Sanford, DVM (incumbent)

Primary Elections will be held in the State of Texas on Tuesday, March 3, 2020.
