LEADING KIDS IN CREATING OWLS are Fairfield Library Director Gary Wiggins and Storytime Leader Mary Kitchens.

Recently selected by the Library Board, Kitchens brings a lot of energy to the 30-minute program.  Her love of reading is evident.

Storytime will be held each Wednesday in May, beginning at 10:00 a.m.  This week featured the book, “I Don’t Want To Be A Frog” by Devorah Petty.

Summer Reading Moves to School Campuses in June

In support of the Fairfield Library’s temporary closure for renovations, both Fairfield Elementary and Intermediate school libraries will be open once a week during the month of June.

All children, with an adult, are invited.

The Intermediate School Library will be open on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for quiet reading.

Book check out is available for those in second through fifth grade.

The Elementary Library will be open on Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for come and go quiet reading and Library Story Hour (all ages) will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. A parent must stay with children at all times.

June 15th Story Hour will be at the Green Barn at the Fairgrounds.

There will also be a Library Reading Camp held at the Elementary Library on June 19-22 with two sessions each day. Morning session is 9:00-11:00 a.m. and the afternoon session is Noon-2:00 p.m.

Fee is $25 per child with a free voucher for a friend that would benefit.
