Reopen Texas Phase III was announced by Governor Greg Abbott on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, allowing higher capacities and more businesses open.
Many locations are being allowed to open up just in time for some summer fun swimming, playing sports, visiting a zoo, and so much more.
Do continue to practice safety guidelines: no groups larger than ten people, stay socially distant, and wear your facial covering.

Important Notes
–Freestone County currently less than five active cases of COVID-19, and as long as it continues to, will be able to open up at 75% on Friday, June 12, 2020
–Employees are not counted in the occupancy limits
–50 percent occupancy limit does not apply to outdoor areas, events, or establishments unless specifically listed.
No Occupancy Limit
–Essential Businesses as listed by U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Cyber security and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)
–Religious Services in churches, congregations and houses of worship
–Local Government Operations, including county and municipal, in regards to licensing (including marriage licenses), permitting, recordation, and document-filing services, as determined by the local government
–Child Care services
–Youth Camps, including summer camps, day camps, and overnight camps
–Recreational sports programs for adults and children
No Limit – as long as ‘Stations’ are 6 Feet Apart

–Places where licensed cosmetologists or barbers work (IE: Beauty Salons, Nail Salons, and Barber Shops)

50 Percent Occupancy Outdoors and Bars

75 Percent Occupancy
Freestone County restaurant owners and customers can now rejoice, as a higher occupancy rating means a much quicker wait time, especially right after church lets out.

Outdoor Gatherings over 500
–Unless specifically stated in another section, the county judge and/or mayor, as appropriate, in consultation with the local public health authority, may impose additional restrictions
