Paula J. Day, 62, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at the Teague Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 10:00a.m. at First Baptist Church in Teague.
Bro. Larry Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Greenwood Cemetery.
Paula was born in Corsican on October 12, 1953, but lived in Teague for all of her life. She graduated from Teague High School with the class of 1973.
Paula enjoyed participating in Special Olympics and won several Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in numerous events.
She loved to travel and was able to visit all of the lower forty-eight states as well as Mexico and Canada.
Paula was a member of the First Baptist Church in Teague.
She is survived by her mother, Dora Day; two brothers, Johnny Day and Larry Day all of Teague; two aunts, Melba Miller of Mesquite and Theda Miller of Garland; one uncle, Elmer Miller of Columbia, South Carolina; and numerous cousins.
Paula was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Day.
