Approximately 60% of people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) fall every year. Some falls result in minor scrapes or bruises while others can have a lasting impact on mobility and independence. PD changes the way people move and can often cause challenges with balance, walking, and posture which may lead to falls.
The Crockett Resource Center for Independent Living (CRCIL) will be hosting the quarterly Living Well with Parkinson’s group meeting on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. Elaine Wallace, MSN, RN Campus Director/School of Nursing Faculty with UT Tyler-Palestine Campus School of Nursing will be speaking on ‘Fall Prevention and Exercise Tips’.
