Parent Education Series Offered Next Week for parents of children with disabilities

Crockett Resource Center for Independent Living (CRCIL) is hosting a Parent Education Series for parents of children with disabilities.  The event will be held on Tuesday, June 18^th, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Sabrina Thompson, Region 6 Regional Coordinator of Partners Resource Network, will be the presenter.  She will be providing an overview of Section 504, which is a way for schools to provide support for students with a disability so that they can learn in a regular classroom.  Participants will gain an understanding of the 504 process which comes from Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
