Palestine Community Theatre (PCT) will be reopening the Texas Theatre with a production of “The Marvelous Wonderettes,” which will run April 23-25 and April 30-May 2. It will be our first show back since Covid began and our first show to have both livestream and live performances.
“The Marvelous Wonderettes” by Roger Bean features a female quartet: Betty Jean (Jessica Valencia), Cindy Lou (Chaundra Dantin), Missy (Rachel Bossier), and Suzy (Gabrielle Folmar). The ladies sing at their homecoming about life and love with hit songs from the 50’s and 60’s and then return for more as they come together once again at their reunion. You’ll recognize songs such as “Stupid Cupid” and “Heatwave” and enjoy being part of the night as you vote for the homecoming queen.
Things will be slightly different with no opening night reception, but PCT is excited to be back on the boards. We are encouraging patrons to purchase tickets in advance through www.PCTboxoffice.com. Tickets at the door will be $17 for adults and $12 for students ages 4-18. Tickets to view the livestream can be purchased at the same website.
