2016 TBA Annual Conference – Overcoming Obstacles in Modern Beekeeping
The 2016 TBA Annual Conference will be held November 3rd-5th at the Bell County Expo Center in Belton, Texas.
This year’s theme is Overcoming Obstacles in Modern Beekeeping.
Thursday, November 3rd will feature a Sustainable Apiary Workshop given by Mike Palmer of French Hill Apiaries in St. Albans City, Vermont. (Texas Master Beekeepers Fall Testing – tais@tamu.edu)
On Friday, November 4th, opening ceremonies begin at 8:00 a.m. Sessions begin at 8:30 a.m. with a Keynote Address by Mike Palmer, followed by multiple speakers throughout the day on various topics. At 7:00 p.m., there will be a Queen’s Auction and Queen’s Quiz Bowl.
Also, the Honey and Photo contests begin. The Honey Contest winner receives $50 and a 1st Place Blue Ribbon. The Photo Contest winner’s photo will be used for the cover of next year’s TBA brochure!
Saturday, November 5th begins with an Introduction by TBA President, Chris Moore beginning at 8:00 a.m. Sessions begin at 8:15 a.m. with Mike Palmer, followed by multiple speakers throughout the day on various topics.
At 6:30 p.m. the Reception, Awards Banquet, and Queen’s Auction begins. There will be great food and fun for a great cause.
Onsite vendors will be selling the latest innovations in beekeeping as well as basic supplies.

Conference fee is $80 for TBA member individuals, or $130 for a family. (Non-member pricing also available)
