Freestone County Fair and Rodeo Association held their annual Youth Commercial Heifer Contest this past weekend and had a great turnout with a grand total sale of $128,750.00!

Taking home the title of Overall Grand Champion was Savannah Stutts of Fairfield 4-H.

Earning Overall Reserve Champion was Ivy Wren, also of Fairfield 4-H.

–Memphis Wren of Fairfield 4-H sold two head at $4,250 each for a total of $8,500 to Texas Farm Credit

–Gracie Smith of Teague FFA sold one head at $5,750 each for a total of $5,750 to Chad & Kim Moritz

–Sophie Craig of Teague 4-H sold two head at $5,250 each for a total of $10,500 to Matt Silar

–Matthew Walker of Teague FFA sold two head at $5,250 each for a total of $10,500 to 3W

–Tripp Wren of Fairfield 4-H sold two head at $3,750 each for a total o $7,500 to Jerred Swinburn

–Matthew Morris of Fairfield 4-H sold two head at $4,750 each for a total of $9,500 to McSwane Realty

–Lena Morris of Fairfield 4-H sold two head at $4,000 each for a total of $8,000 to Wade Whitaker

–Maze Cathey of Teague 4-H sold two head at $11,000 each for a total of $22,000 to Chad & Kim Moritz

–Corbin DeFrance of Fairfield 4-H sold two head at $6,500 each for a total of $13,000 to TJ Foley & FMI

–Perry Burns of Teague 4-H sold tow head at $7,000 each for a total of $14,000 to Robert at Richland Chamber Landscaping

In addition to their individual sales, each participant received $2,000 from Buffalo Livestock.
