Fairfield First United Methodist Church, 201 N. Mount Street, will be conducting worship outdoors in the grassy area adjacent to its parking lot this Sunday, June 21st at 9:00 a.m.

Pastor Richard Heyduck says, “There are multiple reasons we’re doing this. First, the main impetus was what we hear about the transmission of the virus. Though the case count here in Freestone County is low, we want to keep it that way.

“Additionally, we’re able to sing more freely outdoors. Singing is an important part of worship for us.

“Finally, in the short time we’ve been doing it, those who’ve been coming have really enjoyed it. They say it’s working well for the whole family.”
