Find how and what cowboys ate while they were on the trail. Ranger Heather will be reading Come ‘N Git It! Cookie and His Cowboy Chuck Wagon by Jennifer Coleman. After the story we will enjoy some “spotted pup” dessert made in a Dutch oven.
Movie Night – Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein

The Wolf man tries to warn a dimwitted port that Dracula wants his brain for Frankenstein monster’s body.
Come out to enjoy a Halloween movie starring the greats! Bela Lugosi as Dracula, Lon Chaney, Jr. as the Wolf man, and Glen Strange as Frankenstein. We will be serving popcorn and water, but feel free to bring your own snacks. There will be picnic table seating, but you can bring chairs and blankets to sit on.

Fishing with the Ranger

Meet at: Lake Sullivan
Come out for a leisurely afternoon of fishing with Ranger Heather. She has plenty of “fish” tales to tell. Bring your own equipment or use the park’s loaner equipment. A limited amount of bait will be provided. No experience required!

Learn How to Safely Build a Fire

Meet at: The Gazebo
First learn how to build a fire with food; then with wood. After we get the fire started, we will enjoy s’mores!
