Dear Editor,
The Latin term describes a state of mental incompetence and is usually a plea in courts for leniency from the court when sentence is to be delivered. Today that court is the American public primarily and secondarily the foreign publics as well.
If there were ever any doubt as to the mental competency or the backbone of Joe Biden, he just removed all doubt with his betrayal of our only mid-east friend, Israel. For over a year he has directed a weak dribbling out of arms to help the embattled Ukrainians vs Russians invaders. He permitted enough aid for them to stay alive but never enough to win the war, His stated reason was a wish not “to provoke Russia further.” What nonsense; when Russian troops invade and kill your citizens, they are already provoked.
This past week Mr. Biden went even further off the tracks when he denied realistic military aid to Israel. Biden insists that any incursion into the last remaining terrorist nest of Rafah must be hypersensitive to civilians sheltering there. Then, he refuses the “smart” weapons delivery that would make that a possibility. It seems that the ultra-left, plainly anti-semitic minority of the democratic party has won Biden over to supporting terrorist Hamas instead of our only friend in the region. He clearly sides with terrorists instead of their victims, 1,200 of whom (civilians) were butchered one day by Hamas last fall. Biden’s actions shout much larger than his empty words.
Joe Biden is either (1) non compos mentis or (2) an ethical coward, blowing with whichever wind blows hardest. Either way, he demonstrates again his unfitness for the presidency of the United States.
