The Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department recently took delivery of two new Fire Rescue response apparatus. Squad 80 and Quint 81.
The new S-80 is the first of its kind for the city of Fairfield. This apparatus will be utilized on responses to medical calls, public assist, vehicle accidents, along with being used as a mobile incident command unit for fires, missing persons, and large scale operations.
Q-81 brings the most up to date technology and equipment to the city of Fairfield and surrounding county. This new truck features a 75’ Ariel ladder along with on board water for fire operations, accompanied by Amkus edraulic Extrication tools, and much more.
The new Amkus edraulic tools provide our fireman with the fastest and most dependable set of extrication tools on the market, for major car accidents, where they may become needed.
