Brittney McWilliams is at it again, this time with “Living Vee,” a video drama with eight episodes streaming now thanks to the Go Live Australia team.
Vee is a struggling single mom with three dreams. To pay her bills on time, become a working actress, and to be marry the love of her life. When life constantly disappoints her, Vee wonders if those dreams will ever become reality.
McWilliams, a 2008 graduate of Teague High School, plays the lead and serves as Executive Producer.
“Living Vee generated a lot of buzz in the Atlanta film community,” says McWilliams. “I have received many messages stating that what I did on a zero budget is amazing and I am asked how I did it. Honestly, a lot of prayers, no sleep, and a lot of talented people who believe in my vision.”
Currently, McWilliams makes her home base in Atlanta, Georgia where she works as Executive Assistant for Help a Child Smile-Georgia, an organization that provides mobile dentist offices to schools for children and youth who cannot afford dental care.
However, her dream continues to be in the film industry.
“I started this journey with only 81 cents and now I have a show on one of the most popular streaming networks,” she says.
McWilliams gives the credit to God and thanks her family for their support.
“My family has sacrificed so much for me to be able to keep striving to make my dream of becoming in the entertainment field come true,” says McWilliams. “My son has sacrificed time with his mommy, but he always enjoys his visits to Texas. I know that when he is older he will appreciate me fighting for this dream.”
McWilliams is the daughter of Doris McWilliams-Brewer of Teague and Christopher Brackens of Fairfield.
