“We are definitely keeping the barbeque, and the name,” states Ben Cooper of Cooper Farms, in regards to their recent purchase of Cole’s One Stop in Fairfield, Texas. “We are keeping the same recipes, and the same technique.”
That includes smoking their meat 15 hours over mesquite wood.
According to Cooper, the purchase was finalized on Wednesday, September 7, 2016.
“We will slowly be adding Cooper Farms products, such as bakery items and ice cream,” says Cooper. This will allow Cooper Farms to have a presence on both sides of Interstate 45.
Currently, the Cooper Farms Store is located on the west side of I-45, with Cole’s One Stop situated on the east side of the interstate.
Cooper added that plans are in the works to update the inside of Cole’s One Stop building.
