The 2018 Home and Garden Show is coming up next month, in conjunction with the Freestone County Fair & Rodeo.
New this year is a LEGO® Competition (Div. 3, Class 10).
Divisions in the Show include Sewing, Quilts, Needlework & Crafts, Food Preservations, Baked Goods, Photography, Art, Horticulture, and Agriculture Mechanics.
Entry fee of $3.00 for the first entry, and $1.00 for each entry after, per person.
The Ag Mechanics Show, open for FFA and 4-H members, is $20 per entry.
Also available are demonstration areas and educational displays for professionals.
The Home & Garden Show is open to all residents of Freestone County; and entries must be checked on Monday, June 11th between 7:00 a.m. and Noon at the Fairfield Civic Center (Green Barn). Entry fees are due at time of check in.
Judging will be done by age categories to include: Kiddie Corner (4-7 year olds), Junior Youth (8-12 year olds), Senior Youth (13-18 year olds), Adults (19-64 year olds), and Senior Citizens (65 years or older).
Volunteers are always welcome.
