Just in time to potentially hire a new Teague EDC Director, the Board of Alderman selected a city logo, designed by resident Bryan Teer, during the Monday, September 21, 2020 meeting.
The EDC Board of Directors started looking for a new Executive Director in July 2020, and is getting very close to final hiring process.
In additional efforts to make Teague more attractive for potential businesses moving in, they have adopted.
Chapter 380 allows the city to offer incentives, specifically loans and grants, for little to no cost.
To add to the new enticements Teague is offering new businesses, they have elected a city logo for what may be the first time ever.
The ‘fire fee’ has been extended once again, but this time till the end of 2020.
Other discussions and actions included:
–Employee recognition program and plan was passed
–Utility Bills and fees were written off for those who are deceased and uncollectable due to statue of limitations
