It’s finally here! Parkfest is this Saturday, October 26th at the 8th Ave. Park in Teague, Texas.
Music entertainment is going to be provided by a variety of people; Lanky Moore, Anne’s Dance Studio, Teague High School Choir, and Coach Moore will be the DJ for the Car Show.
There will be tons of vendors consisting of Wood Works, Paparazzi, Scentsy, T-shirts, Knives, Succulents, Sweets, Honey, James, Arts and Crafts, and more.
The Kids Zone will have a variety of free games and you can purchase wristbands for the bounce house.
The Costume Contest has categories in different age groups and types: Ages 0 – 2, 3 – 5, 6+, Pets. Winners will be announced at 1:00 p.m.
The Freestone County Retired Teachers will be giving away children’s books.
Mexia Animal Rescue will be offering discounts on Microchips and Shots for Pets.
Fat Rabbit BBQ and Mi Mesa will be serving up food, with even more food available.
There will BBQ Cook-Off with around ten teams expected. It is a $75 entry fee per team. Trophies awarded to Best Beef Brisket, Spare Pork Rib, Chicken, Cook’s Choice. Belt Buckles awarded to Best Overall Team. Plus an additional Jackpot Beans category is available. Do not miss the mandatory meeting Friday, October 25, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at the 8th Ave Park. Cooking and marinating may begin onsite following the meeting. RV Spots available.
The Car Show will have 10 categories: Classic Cars and Trucks – pre 1960, Classic Cars and Trucks – 1961 to present, Corvettes, Street Rod Cars and Trucks, Rat Rods, 4×4 Trucks, Pony Cars and Mustangs, Motorcycles/Scooters, and Farm Tractors.
Buckles will be awarded to Best of Show and People’s Choice with a $25.00 entry fee for the Car Show.
Parkfest will be at the 8th Ave Park in Teague, Texas from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
